This is what happens when you live in the suburbs and the neighbors have trees that they didn’t plant and they basically don’t bother knowing about. This sycamore is just one of a few that torment us both early summer and now in the fall with giant leaves that are as big as my cat. The leaves cover the lawn, the roof, my gardens and don’t decompose nicely like, say, the maple trees.
If you are thinking about it, don’t. Pick a normal every day cute little tree that won’t hang over your fence and threaten to snap a trunk with every little rainstorm that comes. We certainly aren’t nuts enough to plant such a humongous large leaved variety.
This is certainly shady business!
